1) Reaching Unchurched
In an attempt to attract newcomers for Sunday School and reach those who are unchurched in our community, we have aske Children's Evangelism Fellowship http://www.cefonline.com/content/category/4/14/31/; to come and hold 5-day clubs in our town. There will be 3 sessions, each of 5 days, in each of three areas of town. They are a national organization, and it is my understanding that since this is a mission, they accept donations but do not require payment to come. They provide everything, and will hand out brochures for us. I am hopeful we will have someone help them from our church, for a familiar face, but our bodies are few, which is why this also is a big help to us to have them come in and 'recruit' as well as teach.

2) Vine / Branches
I did the vine/branches lesson last fall, and for the object lesson I picked up some small branches that had fallen from trees during a windstorm the night before. By Sunday morning, the leaves were a little wilted. By the next Sunday, they were VERY wilted. I've kept the Bible verse and branch tumbtacked to the bulletin board all these months, and you can imagine what the branch and leaves looks like now! It's a simple but obvious lesson about what happens when we are cut off (or fall away) from the loving care of Jesus!

3) Bringing unsaved friends
Many are times i tell my kids to bring their friends to church but when sunday comes irealize that my number is just the same and when i ask them they tell "its not easy to convince someone who has never been to church to come to church" so i decided to make my sunday school exciting, just ask your self this question when something like dancing competition for circular music is announced how many kids do you expect to see there? of course many, thats why i decided that i need to make them comfortable and cheerfully by organising different events like dancing they present to the main church ie parents Although things like resources are alittle bit of problem we can make God's house a sweet place to be,to avoid our kid being tempted to find happiness, joy fun etc in the wrong places.
God bless you Susan Kenya

4) Christian Crafts Page Reorganized
The Christian Crafts page has been reorganized according to age groups. Check it out, it's much easier to use:
I recently joined your wonderful website and have enjoyed so much all the resources that are available thanks to you! This summer I'm teaching a 1st and 2nd grade Bible Class and I'm looking for a creative way to teach about Joseph being sold into slavery by his brothers (Gen. 37-41). Could you please email me a lesson or two if you have any on Joseph being sold?? I'm just a new user to your website so, I'm not fully familiar with all that you offer us!
Thank you so much! Anna Johnson

6) Memory Verse Success
Hello! Our Sunday School kids learn their memory verses! They love it because each week when they come to Sunday school they get to say their memory verse to one of our adult leaders who then lets them choose a wrapped candy from our basket and they also get to put up a star on either the boys or girls memory verse chart. Each week we count and post how many boys vs. girls learned their verses and this seems to give them incentive to keep learning their verses...because they know that at the end of 13 weeks the boys OR girls will all get a neat, kid-friendly prize! They love this and it definitely brings out the competitiveness in them! And it does help them to open their Bibles and learn their verse each week. Blessings to all, Sandy

7) Children's Sunday Short Notice
>This Sunday, (after church!), I was told that next Sunday is Children's >Sunday, and I have to organize some sort of performance. I don't know what >to do...
You could read a covenant for the church and Sunday school teachers in showing support of the ministry. You can write your own or I could send you one if you are interested @ jmcintom@aol.com. You could read a litany for children I am having the children at our church read parts that I have written for their teachers. I am giving each child a year's subscription to a good newsletter and we are having lunch for them following the service. They will sing a song they have been practising in Kid's Church. Jeanne
